Intermediate Metals and Jewelry

Students in this course should already have a basic knowledge of soldering, sawing, texturing, patina, etc. This course will challenge students to hone in the skills that they already have, and will teach them more complex fabrication and stone setting. In this class, students will learn how to set stones in a variety of ways. They will take a deeper look at the mechanical elements of jewelry such as clasps, bails, and hinges to create more sophisticated pieces. Students will also be challenged to step outside of the jewelry realm to create a metal container for storing objects.  Tools will be provided if you need them and class cost includes a $30 materials fee. List of materials will be provided at first class.

Class size is limited to 8, so register early!
